Academy Classroom Assistant - Bellbrook Site

  • Perform relevant and appropriate tasks and interactions with the assigned student or group as requested by the teacher.
  • Assist teacher in classroom in a variety of classroom situations.
  • Assist with behavioral issues as directed by the Intervention Specialist or Director.
  • Previous experience working with students who have mental health, behavioral or other types of issues preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team member and take direction from others.
  • Training in Positive Behavior Supports and Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI) preferred.  (Training will be provided if hired.)
  • Collaboration and communication skills-ability to be a part of a team.
  • Strong attendance record.
  • Must have educational aide license through ODE.

Truancy Interventionist (TI)

Bachelors Degree, LSW required

Classified position/NonTeaching Professional

192 days plus 9 holidays

Salary Range: $32,000 to $42,0000

The TI will help Greene County Schools determine processes to best satisfy the requirements of House Bill 410 and enable the schools to build consistent absence intervention procedures for students who are at risk of being truant or who have already demonstrated truancy habits.  This employee will work with students, the schools, the parents/families, and community agencies to find ways to support the student so he/she is able to attend school regularly.  This person will be the point person involved who can help to find ways to eliminate the barriers that are keeping students out of school:

Must have:

  • Bachelors Degree, LSW required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent ability to start a program and help it grow
  • Excellent documentation skills/data-collection skills
  • Computer and telephone skills
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Communication with parents, students, schools and agencies
  • Show professionalism
  • Ability to build rapport with many different people
  • Willing to work in several different settings
  • Ability to maintain a schedule
  • Motivation to work on own or with a team/build schedule on own
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism
  • CPI trained (or willing to obtain this training)

Employee will be hired by GCESC and supervised by the Greene County Juvenile Court.

Substitute Teachers and Classroom Assistants Needed

Seeking substitute Teachers and Classroom Assistants for remainder of the 2016-17 school year.

The substitute plays an important role in helping the programs maintain instructional flow and student DS behavior in the absence of a regular classroom teacher or assistant.

Substitute Teacher pay is $90 per day and Classroom Assistants pay ranges from $60 to $75 per day.
